I’m Kriti Sinha, Designer and Founder of PADMIE. What began as a quiet desire to do something meaningful for my country slowly evolved into a purpose- to honour India's craft traditions and uplift the artisans who preserve them.

India's textiles carry centuries of knowledge, patience, and artistry. Behind every weave and every thread are hands and lives that often remain unseen. PADMIE was born from the belief that artisans deserve empowerment and craftsmanship deserves a place in the modern world.My journey toward building this brand began with a deep admiration for India’s textile heritage. Handloom fabrics and handcrafted textiles taught me to see beauty differently. What many people might call irregularities, I began to see as character - something rare in a world obsessed with perfection.

PADMIE honours India's living craft traditions while dressing the woman who values heritage and refined simplicity. Each piece celebrates both the hands that craft it and the woman who wears it.
I was born in Patna, Bihar. During my design studies at NIFT Delhi, my visit to the weaving clusters of Banaras opened my eyes to the lives of artisans. Watching their dedication made me realise how much human effort goes into creating a single textile.
The idea for PADMIE was conceived in 2022. By the end of 2025, the journey truly began with a small team- two master weavers, one artisan, one tailor, and a single sewing machine. Together, we set out to build something meaningful.
PADMIE offers more than clothing- it offers a connection to heritage and craftsmanship. Each piece celebrates the artisan who creates it and the woman who brings it to life.
